EMAIL CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Designed and launched a mass email communication method fit for the City of London Housing Service through utilising the MailChimp platform. As part of this project, I analysed the use cases for a mass email campaign system, current methods of working and possible solutions for recommendation. Historically, the Housing Service were not able to send email communications to residents in a simple way, accessible to all officers. The previous method involved a number of officers and technical expertise involved before emails could be sent out. The MailChimp platform that I launched for the Housing Service allowed Estate Officers and Managers the ability to design and simply send emails to segments of residents at a click of a button. Introduced security levels, checks prior to campaigns being set, reporting on usage to senior managers and regular updates of resident information from the Housing Management System. The MailChimp Platform launched with training sessions for all staff, including training manuals and video tutorials. Email campaigns in the year of launch increased by 1300%, ensuring that our residents were made aware of key information via email and sooner than other methods such as letters.
